Feedback Directed Program Restructuring (FDPR-Pro)

  FDPR-Pro/CBE

The Cell Broadband Engine (CBE) processor is a multi-core chip composed of a 64-bit Power Architecture processor core and eight synergistic processor cores, capable of massive floating-point processing, and optimized for compute-intensive workloads and broadband, rich-media applications.

FDPR-Pro for Cell makes use of FDPR-Pro high-level program representation to benefit from the aggressive optimizations already working on other platforms such as AIX, Linux on Power, etc.

FDPR-Pro for CBE is distributed as part of the Cell Broadband Engine SDK 2.0 and up. For details and download see: http://www.alphaworks.ibm.com/topics/cell.
