Dr. David Botzer - Senior Manager of Software Tools and Event-based Systems groups. David finished his Ph.D. in Information Systems Engineering at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. His main interests include active databases, optimization, real-time systems, and event-driven systems.
Dr. Asaf Adi - Manager of the Event-based Middleware and Solutions group at the IBM Research Laboratory in Haifa, Israel. He received a B.Sc. and a Ph.D. from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. His research focuses on active systems, complex event processing, active databases, and real-time systems. In recent years Dr. Adi has been leading the Event-based Middleware and Solutions team in the IBM R&D Labs in Israel and has been working with the industry to apply active and real-time technologies. Dr. Adi is a member of the RuleML steering committee and serves as a co-chair of the reaction rules technical group.
