Description:
This position involves learning and attaining deep proficiency in diverse research areas, such as information science, computer science, bioinformatics, and healthcare. The selected candidate is expected to deal with the resources, devices, and methods required to optimize the acquisition, storage, retrieval, and use of information in health and biomedicine. The medical informatics researcher is expected to contribute to the development of health informatics tools such as clinical data management and interoperability, data analysis, and data visualization using various modern techniques (e.g., AI, machine learning, statistical analysis, information retrieval, and semantic classification).
Requirements:
Candidates should have at least five years of qualified experience and be familiar with some of the following domains: information management, healthcare processes, healthcare IT, biomedical systems, and advanced analysis techniques. Candidates must have IT knowledge and experience working in an environment involving healthcare infrastructure and tooling. Hands-on experience in clinical care and/or clinical research is an advantage.
Education:
Ph.D. in computer science or equivalent experience; M.D. is a big advantage.
